World production has been revised upward to a record 168.438 mln tonnes, raw value. This makes world production 9.3 mln tonnes higher than world consumption. Now world exports are expected to reach 49.3 mln tonnes and exceed import demand by 3.3 mln tonnes. World sugar stocks are estimated to increase by 6.022 mln tonnes from 2006/07.
