World production has been estimated in 162.258 mln tonnes, raw value. This makes world production 3.6 mln tonnes lower than world consumption. Now world exports are expected to reach 47.8 mln tonnes, filling import demand by 47.7 mln tonnes. World sugar stocks are estimated to decrease by 3.6 mln tonnes from 2007/08.
